Do a routine cleaning of for reoccurring stains:

Some people will still find it a little difficult to keep their quartz countertop 100% clean as they find that wiping the surface down with a wet cloth does not do the trick for them because this way of cleaning a countertop made of quartz can leave greasy spots and lines along the way as you wipe.  These are some on-point tips as to what to do with different kinds of stains on a quartz countertop.

-        Although quartz countertops as naturally stain resistant and are not seriously affected by accidents such as spilling liquids that would stain other surfaces like wine, tea, or vinegar, it is important to take care of those spills immediately with a piece of cloth and some detergent before they have the chance to dry and require a little more work to clean off.

-        In case you didn’t have the chance to clean a spill as soon as it happened for some reason, it wouldn’t be as simple as wiping to get it off, but it will still be easier than other countertops. All you need is the sponge that is used to clean nonstick pans and a glass cleaner.

-        For harder stains like paint or nail polish, use a putty knife to scrape them off with it.

-        Use a kitchen degreaser for stains caused by cooking and food grease, it is 100% safe to use on a quartz countertop and will do the trick for you. All you have to do is carefully read the instructions on the degreaser container and follow them, and that’s it.

As for the occasional cleaning, it has to be a little bit deeper. So, you will need a large amount of any cleaner used for smooth surfaces, spray it generously on your quartz countertop and let it sit for good 10 minutes, then wipe it off with a smooth sponge. Be careful not to use products that would scratch the surface of your countertop.

Watch out for:

-        Using any products containing acid or sponges that can scratch the countertop.

-        Any sudden change of the temperature on the surface of your quartz countertop, or leaving extremely hot things like pots for too long can cause the resin on the surface of the countertop to melt.

-        Cutting directly on the quartz countertop will scratch it. Always use a cutting board.
